Client Agreement – 1:1 Orientation Session

By checking the “I agree” box and completing your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms.

1. Nature of the Service

A 1:1 Orientation Session is designed to help you gain greater clarity and orientation around your current circumstances, patterns, direction and next chapter.

Depending on the service booked, your session may include preparation of a personalised Orientation Report and discussion of the observations, themes and information arising from that report.

The session is intended to support reflection, perspective and self-directed decision-making. You remain responsible for your own choices, decisions and actions following the session.

2. Information Provided

You confirm that the personal information you provide during the booking process is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

You understand that the accuracy of the information supplied may affect the preparation and usefulness of your Orientation Session and any accompanying report.

3. Confidentiality

Information you disclose during your session, together with information contained in your Orientation Report, correspondence and any working notes reasonably required to provide the service, will be treated as confidential and will not be intentionally disclosed to another person without your consent except:

  • where disclosure is required by law;
  • where there is a legal obligation to disclose information;
  • where reasonably necessary to obtain confidential professional or legal advice concerning the operation of the business; or
  • where you have expressly authorised the disclosure.

You are welcome to discuss your own session or report with others. I will not publicly identify you as a client or use your personal story or report for testimonials, case studies or promotional material without your permission.

4. Personal Information

Reasonable measures will be taken to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure.

Your personal information will only be used for purposes directly connected with preparing, providing and administering your Orientation Session unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

5. Orientation Report and Record Retention

Where a personalised Orientation Report is prepared, you will receive your own copy for your records.

My working copy of your personalised Orientation Report and any working notes reasonably required to provide the service will ordinarily be securely deleted or destroyed within 60 days after your completed session, unless retention is required for legal, financial, insurance or other legitimate business purposes.

You may request earlier deletion of your Orientation Report and any working notes reasonably required to provide the service once the service has been completed, subject to any information I am legally required to retain.

Once your copy of the Orientation Report has been provided, you are responsible for its safekeeping. Because my working copy is ordinarily destroyed within 60 days, I may not be able to provide another copy after that time.

6. Recording

Sessions may not be audio recorded, video recorded, transcribed using an automated transcription service or captured using an AI meeting assistant by either party without the prior agreement of both parties.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, at least 48 hours’ notice is required.

Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, your booking may be transferred to another available appointment time, subject to availability.

Payments are otherwise non-refundable for change of mind.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

8. No-Shows and Late Arrival

If you do not attend your scheduled session without providing the required notice, this will be treated as a no-show.

No refund, credit or replacement appointment will be provided for a missed appointment, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

If you arrive late, your session will ordinarily finish at the scheduled time so as not to affect later appointments.

9. If I Need to Cancel

If I am unable to provide your scheduled session, you will be offered either:

  • a mutually agreed alternative appointment time; or
  • a refund of any fees paid for the service I am unable to provide.

10. Scope of the Service

Orientation Sessions are educational and reflective in nature.

They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial or other regulated professional services, and are not a substitute for professional advice or treatment.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and for seeking advice from appropriately qualified professionals where required.

11. No Guarantee of Outcome

Orientation Sessions are intended to provide perspective, observations and a framework for reflection.

No particular personal, professional, financial, relationship or other outcome is promised or guaranteed.

12. Intellectual Property

All Orientation Reports, written materials, methodologies, frameworks and session resources remain the intellectual property of Vanessa LeBlanc unless otherwise stated.

Your personalised Orientation Report is provided for your own personal use and may not be reproduced, published, sold or commercially distributed without prior written permission.

13. Respectful Conduct

Both parties agree to participate respectfully.

I reserve the right to end or decline to continue a session where there is threatening, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise seriously inappropriate behaviour.

Where a session is terminated because of serious misconduct by the client, a refund will not ordinarily be provided, subject to applicable law.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

Where Australian law provides rights that cannot legally be excluded, those rights will apply.
